Michael Moll - My Green Space - FoodTECH

https://a248.e.akamai.net/secure.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/9/d/6/e/600_459340302.jpeg

As a curious lifelong entrepreneur Michael has always looked at problems as opportunities. This began with starting business ventures from the age of 6 and experimenting with technology throughout his school years. Michael grew up in Kenya where he was fortunate enough to live on an urban farm with his grandparents. Michael came to Canada on a full leadership scholarship to study Marketing and Sustainability at UBC in 2008. During his time at UBC he was exposed to the challenge: how could commerce be sustainable, responsive and a force for good? In 3rd year Michael started two app companies that eliminated paper processes. A loyalty stamp card app for restaurants and an event-ticketing app aimed at concerts. Having grown food in his back yard, he saw an opportunity to bring technology support to urban agriculture. Michael now runs My Green Space: an app that helps people grow food with confidence. Their vision is to put a garden in every home on earth. In his free time he writes stories, poems and songs under the pen name the full time optimist.
