Bus to Lake Louise for WinterStart - Saturday Only

DESCRIPTION:

Relax! Enjoy the ride. Take CSC's chartered bus to the Lake Louise area - and back! - for the Saturday portion of CSC's WinterStart event. CSC is subsidizing the cost of the bus, and offering you a discounted rate. Bonus: By taking this bus, you do not pay the Banff National Park fee.

This chartered bus has seatbelts... and... a washroom!

NOTE: This is the ONLY bus that CSC is chartering for the WinterStart Weekend. CSC is NOT chartering a bus on Friday or Sunday.

PASSENGERS - FOR ALL SNOW SPORTS:

• Daytrippers: downhill skiers and snowboarders going to the Lake Louise ski resort; recreational cross country skiers; snowshoers

• Jackrabbits families - children's cross country ski lesson in the morning (bus goes to trailhead)

• Participants in the adults' cross country ski lesson in the afternoon

• Maximum passengers: 47

SCHEDULE

• 8:00 AM - Arrive at the NORTH parking lot at Edworthy Park. The bus will also arrive then.

• 8:30 AM SHARP - Bus leaves on time. The driver will not wait for latecomers.

• 10:30 AM - Arrive at the Lake Louise area

• 11:00 AM - Cross country ski lesson starts - Jackrabbits

• 1:00 PM - Cross country ski lesson starts - Adults

• 4:00 PM - Leave the Lake Louise area

• 6:00 PM - Approximate return time at Edworthy Parking Lot

DISCOUNTED PRICE - SUBSIDIZED BY CSC

• $10 per person (Adults and children. Members and non-members.)

• CSC MEMBERS: Pay online on this Meetup webpage.

• NON-MEMBERS: Phone Sandra in the CSC Office at 403 -282 -4122 to pay with your credit card over the phone.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Fri. Nov. 25, 2016 at 5:00 PM - Pay now to reserve your seat (and your guests' or family members' seats) on the bus. Seating is limited to 47 passengers.

CANCELLATION / COLD WEATHER POLICY

• The Jackrabbits' lesson will be cancelled if the temperature forecast is -18 C or colder, including wind chill.

• The adults' cross country ski lesson will be cancelled if the temperature forecast is -20 C or colder, including wind chill.

• In these cases, we MAY need to cancel the bus. If by Fri. Dec. 2 at 5:00 PM the weather forecast for Sat. Dec. 3 calls for either of these temperatures, then:
(a) We will inform the Jackrabbits parents and adults' lessons participants IF their lessons have been cancelled.
(b) We will inform everyone who signed up for the bus, IF the bus has been cancelled.
