HIke Watridge Lake and Karst Spring

An easy walk to the beautiful Watridge Lake, with the option of climbing up to the mysterious karst spring.
Distance: 3.7 km one way to the lake
Elevation gain: 60 metres (to lake)
Difficulty: Easy
Distance to karst spring: 800 metres
Elevation gain: 122 metres
Difficulty: moderately steep (but short)
Trailhead Location: Mr. Shark trails, Smith-Dorrien area
Driving Distance: 130 km. one way. The Calgary Ski Club suggests a compensation of $0.06 cents per kilometer both ways for the driver(s) of the carpools.
Duration of hike: Four Hours
Meeting Time and Place: Please arrive no later than 7:45 a.m., at North Edworthy Park, north side, to arrange carpooling, as we will be departing at 8:00 a.m. sharp.
RSVP Deadline: Friday, Aug 2, at 9:00 pm.

Notice of Cancellation: The trip leader will contact registered participants by phone or email if the trip is cancelled or postponed. Registrants are asked to change their RSVP if they have a change of plan.
