Dyson Falls / Sheep River Provincial Park

Description: As our hike begins, we will come across stunning and unique rock formations while looking down into the Sheep River canyon and gorge.
We will take a bridge across to the spectacular Tiger Jaw Falls, then follow a well marked trail through a mixture of forests and meadows with a steady, gradual elevation gain. At the end of the trail will be Dyson Falls, a small but pretty waterfall tucked in a deep, green meadow.
Hiking Distance: 7.5 Kilometers Return
Height Gain: 153 Meters
Difficulty Level: Easy / Moderate
Carpool Departs at 8:00 a.m., please arrive 15 minutes before. The Club suggests a compensation of 6 cents per kilometer both ways for the driver(s). We will meet in the gravel parking lot, just below the big brown H, prior to the entrance of Heritage Park.
Travel Distance: 75 Kilometers One Way

Notice of Cancellation: The trip leader will contact registered participants by telephone or email if the trip is cancelled or postponed. Registrants are asked to contact the trip leader if they are not able to attend.
Guest Policy: Guests are welcome to 'try us out' on a couple of events. Please complete a Guest Waiver (https://calgaryskiclub.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Calgary-Ski-Club-Informed-Consent-and-Assumption-of-Risk-Agreement-.pdf) and bring it with you and provide to the trip leader.

After the hike, for those that interested, we will be stopping for light snacks and refreshments in Black Diamond before returning to Heritage Park.
