Talk abstract:
We're going to talk about why it's hard to trust your car to read a stop sign. This talk covers some of the risks that come with using machine learning algorithms to perform tasks traditionally done by humans, using two example attacks: data poisoning and adversarial examples. We'll talk about when it is and is not safe to use a machine, and provide enough background on deep learning to understand the attacks.
