Yardley Walk 2 Run is back for 2019! In Spring of 2017 the Yardley Recreation Board created a group called Walk 2 Run. Meeting once a week for formal training and additional days informally, based on member’s schedule, these new to running or rusty runners found friends to keep motivated towards the goal of running the Yardley 5k. Once again the group will train toward running the Yardley 5k on Sunday, June 2nd. Starting on Tuesday, April 9th and meeting every Tuesday until May 28th, the group will meet in Buttonwood Park in Yardley Borough for warm-ups and then use the canal path for training, returning to Buttonwood Park for cool down. Bring water, and a towel, no fee required, just a willingness to train! Wednesday Yoga is back! 6:40pm - 7:45pm in the Recreation Room behind the post office at Yardley Borough Hall. The cost is only $7.50 a class if you pay in advance for a 10-week session, or $10.00 for a drop in class. This is a great opportunity to try out Yoga in a relaxed and friendly setting.
