Yavneh is for everyone seeking to explore, renew, and experience the richness of the Jewish tradition. We are a part of Jewish Renewal, a worldwide, transdenominational movement grounded in Judaism’s prophetic and mystical traditions. We are an egalitarian congregation proud to welcome all individuals regardless of religious background, spiritual inclination, age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or income. Non-members (or not-yet-members) are welcome at all events.
Join us on Shabbat afternoon for delicious snacks, heartwarming songs and niggunim (melodies), and stories to inspire you for the coming week. This particular part of the Sabbath day is known as Eit Ratzon, the time of yearning, where we and the Holy One reach for each other's loving embrace as the darkness deepens and we prepare for Havdalah and the return to the weekday world.
Snacks and beverages will be provided. (In respect for Beth Meyer's kashrut observance, any contributions you wish to add should be in sealed packaging with kosher certification.)
(Please note that most of the Yavneh community who attend our events are not registered on Meetup, so signups shown here will not be a reflection of expected attendance. You can also register by emailing [masked].)
