Yoga For Mommy and Me (free)

Palisades Park

Hi beautiful mamas! Time for our weekly yoga by the sea again! Hope to see you all and your little ones! Feel free to bring lunch so that you can hand out with other moms and babies after the practice! Join our Facebook group if you would like to create or follow group discussions, or see our past event pictures: https://www.facebook.com/groups/yogaformommyandme/ Please do RSVP on either Meetup or Facebook because as of Jan 1, 2014, there is a 15 person limit for Palisades Park classes. Xx Lucy EVENT DETAILS Yoga, baby play date, and mommy group! This is an outdoor yoga event in the beautiful Palisades park with ocean views. It's for mommies with babies from six weeks to two-year old. Led by a certified Ashtanga Yoga, Mommy and Me Yoga teacher, and mom, this meetup is also a great opportunity to meet with other moms, bond with our babies, and restore our cores! Come for some sweat, music, and fun! Notes: With babies around, it's hard to follow a fixed agenda. I will try my best to get as many poses in as we can. I will lead but you can do whatever you want. Then we will do some popular nursery songs with our babies. Feel free to feed or stop whenever! The key is to get out, enjoy the park and ocean breeze, stretch our sore muscles, meet with other moms, and have fun with our babies! :-) WHEN Every Friday at 11am WHERE Please find us in the park between Montana and Palisades Ave, parallel to Ocean Ave, and close to the rose garden. Yes, we do yoga by the sea! Message me on Facebook if you have problems finding us! THINGS TO BRING Yoga mat, water, towel, and your baby! You can also bring a yoga block if you like. Feel free to bring lunch if you want stayer longer to hang out with other moms and babies. HOW TO DEAL WITH YOUR BABY DURING CLASS For babies, you can leave them in the stroller if they are sleeping. Or I will provide a picnic blanket where they can play. Feel free to bring your own blanket (waterproofed ones are the best because the grass can be wet sometime) and lay your baby on it next to your yoga mat. This works very well with younger babies who don't crawl yet. For crawlers and walkers, the best is to let them stay on your big picnic blanket, and keep them busy with toys, books, snacks, etc for the first part of the practice. We will pick them up for the second part, and incorporate them into the fun. DISCLAIMER Since it's a free casual yoga event, I don't need to purchase any fitness insurance and apply for park use permit which may cost thousands of $ per year. You will be fully responsible for your own and your baby's safety issues. Please only join after you get cleared by your OB and pediatrician for physical exercise. It will be better if you already have some yoga practice experience, but any level of yoga is welcome. Please be very gentle and stay where you are comfortable with. MISCELLANEOUS Join our Facebook group if you would like to create or follow group discussions, or see our event pictures: https://www.facebook.com/groups/yogaformommyandme/ Please do RSVP on either Meetup or Facebook because as of Jan 1, 2014, there is a 15 person limit for Palisades Park classes.
