£495.00 Price: From £495 to £635 depending on room choice Dates: Sun 13th April to Sat 13th April 2019 Yoga Classes: 12 mixed ability classes Hiking: 5 guided hikes (1 per day) Rooms: single, twin (or double) or female 4 person room share Food: choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian options A six night Spain yoga hiking break in the mountains of Andalucía, in southern Spain. Based on a working organic farm in typically rustic accommodation in the Alpujarra region of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We will be including two yoga classes each day, a guided hike through the mountains and local villages, all meals and accommodation for this six night Sierra Nevada yoga hiking break. Framed to the north by the mighty peaks of the Sierra Nevada, mainland Spain’s highest mountains, the fertile valleys and dramatic gorges of the Alpujarras are a world apart from the Mediterranean coast thirty kilometres to the south. Seemingly untouched by the passage of time, this ancient province was the last stronghold of the Moors, whose intricate irrigation and terracing systems still shape the land to this day. Complemented by the distinct character of the region (which extends to the architecture and even the chimneys), the variety of the scenery is astonishing (so much so that you never know what lies around the next bend), ranging from steep-sided gorges to orange groves, and from bubbling streams to Mediterranean landscapes dotted with cacti. The farm grows all its own vegetables and fruit and so you can be sure that the meals will be fresh and all organically grown. For yoga we have a large purpose built yoga studio with stunning views of the mountains and valley below. Finally, the hiking in the Alpujarra region is wonderful and varied as we explore deep gorges, pretty quiet and typical white villages, woodland and mountains.
