Hello! This is a group for people who are interested in exploring yoga and the practice of mindful eating. We spend part of our time together participating in mindful eating exercises, followed by a yoga practice designed to help us feel fully present in our bodies. Both of these tools can help people lose or maintain a healthy weight, but this is not the focus of this meetup. Rather, the aim is to equip each member with a safe space to help explore what it really means to have a healthy relationship with food and a deep appreciation for the body. There are no weight-loss goals to set or food journals to keep, and this meetup is open to anyone who would like to bring more intention and attention to the way they eat and move.
Come join Lizzy Mello for a dynamic yoga class, an informative talk around the tradition of “cleansing," and time devoted to creating your very own customized cleanse –– all followed by a light and refreshing dinner!
Winter urges us to hunker down, hibernate, and stay put to wait out the weather. When Spring arrives, we have an amazing opportunity for new growth and shedding of the winter heaviness. Spring cleaning is less about doing a “cleanse” and more about RESILIENCE.
Springtime is all about the bounce-back! It's a time to be honest with ourselves about what we've been consuming physically, emotionally, and mentally.
We are in charge of what we consume and sometimes we need to clear out old consumption habits to make room for healthier ones. Participants will learn about the kriyas (ancient yoga cleansing practices) and also have time to think about what they are ready to clear out and release.
This event is limited to 15 people, pre-registration is required. The cost is $75 per person.
