We have recently had a lot of new people join. Please be aware that there is a 1.00 membership fee. This is a one off payment to help run this group. Please take the time to add your payment As some of you will be aware running the meet up group has a cost to me personally each month. I would be grateful for a £1 contribution from each person. This is a cost to be a part of the group for the whole year. If everyone pays this pound it will cover these said costs. Meet up allows for this in their rules and regs. Just click to say your attending and then it will take you to paypal Thanks x Organizer Subscription Pricing Though it's always free to set up a Meetup account as a member, Meetup charges Organizer Subscriptions to start and lead Meetup groups as an organizer. There are currently two types of Organizer Subscription Plans: Basic and Unlimited. The Basic Organizer Subscription plan enables organizers to have up to 3 other organizers on their Leadership Team and up to 50 members in their Meetup Group. Please note that the Basic plan is not available to organizers who start their subscriptions through our iOS app. The Unlimited Organizer Subscription plan grants organizers an unlimited Leadership Team, as well as an unlimited number of members. We’ve always done everything we can to keep Organizer Subscriptions fair and affordable for organizers everywhere. To help cover their subscriptions, organizers have the options to collect Contributions from members who want to help chip in, set Membership Dues and/or charge Ticket prices for individual events.
A day out discovering the nice parts of Kingston-upon-Hull - and there are many nice parts if you know where to look! Attractions include: Hull Old Town Spurn Lightship Hands On History Museum Streetlife Museum Wilberforce House Ferens Art Gallery Arctic Corsair Hull Maritime Museum Hull and East Riding Museum Hull Marina Hull Fruit Market A Banksy The Deep (not recommended) No particular plans, we'll simply go with the flow, possibly following different interests. The direct train from York leaves at 09:47, arrives Hull at 11:00, which coincides with the opening times for the musums. The museums are free to enter, though you will be asked for a voluntary donation. If, like me, you'll be driving, a couple of council run car parks offer all day parking for £1.00. Both are convenient for the Old Town - details nearer the time and we might be able to car share.
With the summer weather, we should hopefully be able to sit or stand outside for this one! I am keeping numbers small, so everyone can move around and chat to everyone. With that in mind please only sign up if you can make it and if you find yourself on the waitlist don’t be deterred a place might become available (but please don’t show up on the night unless your place is confirmed). If you do RSVP and then cancel at short notice (less than 3 days) I will ban you from any socials I host (i.e. a lot of the meals and drinks!). This might seem harsh, but it does deter people from hogging a place! Thanks, and see you for a pint 😊
