Welcome to YFO60+

We’re a friendly group of like-minded people who enjoy getting together, making new friends, sharing good times, and making the most of this exciting stage of life.

From quizzes and theatre trips to lunches, day trips, special events, and much more, there’s always something to look forward to.

Whether you’re newly retired or have been retired for years, you’ll find a warm welcome and plenty of opportunities to join in the fun.

Your Photo
Members must provide an easily recognisable headshot photo of themselves. This is for security purposes and helps us recognise members when they attend their first event.

Membership Criteria
Members are requested to attend an event within six weeks of joining and then continue to participate regularly to maintain their membership.

Memberships will be cancelled where a member has not attended any event for a period of 3 months.

Please note: Cancelled memberships cannot be reinstated.

A little note about being a Friend
Being part of Friends means respecting the arrangements we put in place to ensure our events are enjoyable and fair for everyone.

When we eat out
For group meals, we ask venues to remove any service charge where possible. Members attending contribute £1 each towards a shared tip for the serving staff, which is given on behalf of the group. By joining restaurant events, members agree to support this approach.

Event RSVPs
Please RSVP to events you wish to attend. Friends are not permitted to attend an event without an RSVP. If your circumstances change and you are unable to attend, please amend your RSVP as soon as possible.

Friends who RSVP to theatre visits, disco nights or events requiring payment will be messaged with payment details and the final date for payment. If payment is not received by the due date, it will be assumed that they no longer wish to attend and their RSVP will be amended accordingly.

All YFO60 events are for members only; guest places are not available.

No Shows
If a Friend RSVPs for an event and does not attend, this will be recorded as a “No Show”. Please note that three “No Shows” will result in automatic removal from the group.
