Temi's Yoruba School is for you!
The aim of the lessons are to improve your confidence to effectively communicate in Yoruba with family and/or friends.

The course will be taught in English and Yoruba with coverage of speaking and listening and writing skills. Taught by a native speaker. Each class size is limited to a small group to allow for effective learning.

Level 2 (Advance BEGINNERS): Yoruba Class (Saturdays)-Week 12 of 12. Adults only

Level 2 (Advance Beginners) is for those that have been exposed to Yoruba but do not understand or speak it. This suits someone that recognises the Yoruba language if they heard it but would not be able to translate it. The course runs for 12 weeks, 1.5 hours each week. Every Saturdays from 11 to 12.30pm, UK time (starting 19th September 2020) Venue/Platform: Zoom (online) Please note: Face to face classes in Camberwell will be running again in the new year. Course Fees: PLEASE NOTE - To secure a place, please make an advance payment of £18 for your first class. Or take advantage of the Early Bird fee (£16/class), with an advance payment of the full course fee ahead of the 1st class. Early Bird fee - Each session is £16. *£192 to be paid in advance of 12 week course. Standard fee - Each session is £18. *£18 in advance of 12 week course, and remaining balance of £198 by the end of the day of the first class. My email address is [masked] Other Lessons: *Level 1 (New Beginners)- This is for those new to Yoruba and have no exposure, and will not recognise the language if they heard it. For example, it suits a non Nigerian person or maybe someone that has married a Yoruba person. (starting 14th September, Mondays[masked]pm) *Level 2 (Advance Beginners) - For those that have been exposed to Yoruba but do not understand or speak it. This suits someone that recognises the Yoruba language if they heard it but would not be able to translate it. (starting 16th September, Wednesdays[masked]pm) and (starting 19th September, Saturdays[masked]pm) *Level 3 (Intermediate 1) - This is for those that can understand short and simple sentences in Yoruba and can give very basic responses. (starting 17th September, Thursdays[masked]pm) *Level 4 (Intermediate 2)- They can understand and speak Yoruba at an Intermediate level. (starting 19th September, Saturdays[masked]pm) *Level 5 (Advance)- They can understand Yoruba and can speak it but not confidently. They need more practise and want to be able to improve their fluency. No English will be spoken in this class.
