This is a group for parents of minor-aged makers in central Mississippi.
It seems big kids have all the fun. School robotics and technology clubs are restricted to high school students. But what about the young ones? First grade and up... How do they learn technology? Not video games or internet browsing; but rather learning to program microprocessors, create toys, explore electronic circuits, and invent rather than consume. My second grader and I currently geek out with Dash and Dot, Littlebits, and Arduino. We hope to bring together a group of kids with similar interests and parents or other adults who will help expand our horizons and teach about new frontiers.
Note: Any children present at a Meetup must be supervised by a parent or guardian. No dropoffs are allowed.
