What we're about

A Day of Zen Meditation Interspersed with Periods of Creativity of All Varieties

What: The science of mindfulness has recently taken off in the West and we at Integral Zen have taken this to the next level with our Zen and the Art of Creativity one-day program. We sit in silent meditation for 20-30 minute intervals throughout the day and when not meditating, take part in a personal creative activity of our choice: music, writing, poetry, art, even business brainstorming. One of our members wrote four patents in one day during one Zen and the Art of Creativity workshop!

When: Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 9AM-5PM. Be in the Zendo on your cushion at 8:55AM sharp.

Why: Intensive meditation allows our minds to relax and focus away from the hustle and bustle of everyday work, which in turn enables us to enter states of creativity and productivity otherwise unreachable. Creativity materializing from pure, formless, empty awareness (the ground of Zen meditation) is a wonder to experience and you’ll be surprised at the inventiveness and ingenuity that manifests as a result. Great for students of all varieties (business, law) as well as artists, poets and musicians.

Where: The Bahai Center of Denver, 225 E Bayaud Ave, Denver, CO 80209.

What to bring/wear: Bring lunch, preferably organic or similar. Wear dark, loose fitting clothing. The less logos, writing or symbols on clothing, the better.

Led By: Goryu Chad Bennett and Genko James Wall.
