ZK-TLV 0x09: all you can eat BFT

For our ninth ZK-TLV event, on Monday, November 11th, we bring Ittai Abraham from VMware research to give a full overview on EVERYTHING related to modern distributed consensus systems.

This time the event will include a lecture in two parts followed by a Q&A (and the usual mingling in between):

  Abstract:
  In the first part we will discuss the connections between Bitcoin and Blockchain and the field of Fault tolerance and Byzantine Agreement.

In the second part we will discuss PBFT, SBFT, Tendermint, Casper and HotStuff and present a simple Byzantine Fault Tolerant State Machine Replica Protocol.

Ittai Abraham (@ittaia) is a researcher at VMware research. He does research on algorithms and distributed computing.
