Startup Essentials - "How to Found a Company"

Startup Essentials aims to provide a worldwide audience ready to start their own businesses with the tools and training necessary to take ideas to the next level. Whether you're a hacker, a hustler, or someone in between, Startup Essentials is looking to pave the way for you to develop your mission statement, refine your business model, and scale your operations to profitability.

This event will be the first in a series of 10 panels that will focus specifically on addressing issues that entrepreneurs and startups encounter when initially launching - from finding a solvable niche problem to selecting the right collaborators for a founding team to building brand awareness and managing growth.

Our featured speaker for the 9/25 event will be travel tech entrepreneur Diego Saez-Gil (@dsaezgil): founder & CEO of WeHostels, an award-winning mobile travel startup that helps young travelers book budget accommodations and discover events around the world from their mobile devices. The company was awarded the "Most Innovative Travel Startup of the Year" by PhoCusWright and "100 Brilliant Companies of the Year" by Entrepreneur Magazine. Diego and his company have been featured in the NY Times, BBC, NBC, and Forbes. The company is backed by international investors and has operations in New York and Latin America. For more info, please visit:

The theme of Diego's presentation will be "Starting Up: Lessons from the Trenches."
