ChiPy Data SIG - May 2018 Meetup

Details
We have 3 amazing speakers lined up this month.
Parfait Gasana is a Data Analyst who is very active in the ChiPy community (and a co-organizer in the Chicago R User Group, CRUG). He also served as a mentor in our mentorship program. He will be talking about "Best Practices in Pandas: Lessons Learned from Answering Q's on StackOverflow".
Trevor Welch is a co-founder of Messenger Coffee, a cafe and bakery group with seven locations in Kansas City. He believes that a little bit of hacking around in a Jupyter Notebook can go a long way. He is also the previous founder of Mission Control, an analytics suite for Lime Light CRM. His talk is titled “Social Media Analytics for the People”, and he’ll be showing you how to use `pandas` to generate useful metrics about your social media presence.
Kevin Goetsch, Director of Data at Home Chef, favors three topics of conversation in no particular order: tacos, his kittens, and data. Kevin has been working in the field of data and data science for eight years. He has a wealth of knowledge across the data field from distributed compute and hive metastores to machine learning and deploying statistical models. Kevin has a Master's of Science, Economics and Policy Analysis from Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University. He will have an interactive session on "Interviewing in the data space: how do you define Data Analyst/Scientist/Engineer"
RSVP soon to hear them speak and learn more about CCC Information Services, our gracious hosts for this evening.
