JSON and Protobufs, a closer look

This talk will take a close look at the JSON and Protobuf data formats and how the data is actually represented over the wire. This talk will introduce the basics of binary, capturing a request with Wireshark, and comparing/contrasting the two data representations. I also hope to cover how to interpret Protocol Buffers in their binary form

Testing with Hypothesis
by Suhas Sreenivas

While practicing coding questions for interviews from a book, I wanted to generate test data rather than manually write test cases because I found that I would miss a few scenarios to test each time.

This led me to a python library, hypothesis, and learning about property based testing. In this lightning talk, I will go over how I generated test cases for common interview questions involving strings, linked lists and trees and also how I chose properties to test against.

Bio:
Suhas is a grad student studying Computer Science at Illinois Tech. He enjoys learning about and working on Back-End systems.
