Python Project Night (WebDev)
Details
MUST RSVP (no cost) to attend for security reasons. If you are not on the RSVP list by Midnight on the night before the event, you won't be allowed in the office space.
Please welcome back the Mentorship Spring 2018 cohorts this project night - this will be their second project night!

At project night you have two options:
Team Projects:
Team projects are fun hands on coding exercises, where we breakup into teams of four and solve the problem together under an hour. The teams are designed to have diverse experience level giving you an ability to learn and teach python concepts at the same time.
Here's a checklist for you to decide if this project is for you:
• Do you have a personal computer with working wifi and power cord
• Do you have Python 3 installed on your computer. Yep, Python 3 only. Strictly no Python 2. (https://www.python.org/downloads/)
• Do you have Atom(https://atom.io/) or Sublime Text(https://www.sublimetext.com/3) installed in your computer
• Do you have some experience writing & running programs in Python from command line
• Do you know about lists, dictionaries, functions
• Do you know how to installing packages with pip (https://packaging.python.org/tutorials/installing-packages/)
• Have you registered on chipy slack ( https://joinchipyslack.herokuapp.com/ )
If you are part of the Mentorship cohorts or want to participate in the team project, make sure you arrive well ahead in time at least by 6:15 pm. Once the event starts, please assemble at the atrium where you will be put in to a group of four. Each of you will get write code for 15 minutes, and we will come to each team and let you know when to switch.

Solo-Project
Bring your own project and work at your own pace. Ask for help, help some one out if there's a question you can answer!
Please do not forget to bring your wireless-enabled laptop and power cord.
