Community Talks
Details
(Note that this event is taking place a week earlier than our usual meetup, due to Laracon being next week)
This month brings an evening of community talks, in conjunction with our good friends at KWJS. Whether you have a useful tip, an interesting problem you solved, a new library you've been exploring, a debugging story, or a lesson learned from a recent project, we'd love to hear it. Think of these as informal lightning-style talks: somewhere between 3 and 15 minutes, with plenty of room for questions and discussion. If you've been curious about speaking but don't want the pressure of preparing a full presentation, this is a great opportunity to give it a try.
Our goal is to share technical knowledge and experiences with one another, so we ask that talks focus on projects and lessons learned rather than product pitches. If you'd like to talk about your product, we encourage you to do that during the casual networking time after the presentations with anyone who's interested. The evening is all about learning from each other in a relaxed, supportive environment, whether you're presenting or just coming to listen.
This event will take place at our Vehikl's new location. The doors will be locked, but there will be a QR code on the door that you can scan to let someone know you're there.
2240 University Ave E
Building C
Waterloo, ON
N2K 0G3
If this is your first time at the new location, this is the South-most building of the former RIM campus. When heading East on Labrador Drive, see the building on the right after The Timeless Material Company. The parking garage is closed, but there is parking on either side and on the roof of the garage. Once parked, you can find the entrance across from the garage. If taking the bus, your best bet is to take the 202 Express and get off at the University/Northfield Technology Park stop. From there, walk to the round about and head south into the technology park.
Our sincere thanks to Vehikl for continuing to provide the venue, food, and beverages. Please be sure to RSVP so we can plan appropriately for catering.
