Astronomy Lecture: Listening for Alien Tech with Smartware

Please join the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for our June 24 general meeting featuring Dr. Steve Croft, an astrophysicist at the University of California, Berkeley and Project Scientist for the Breakthrough Listen Initiative, who will share the latest developments in the search for intelligent life beyond Earth. The talk will include his work using the 7,000-ton Green Bank Telescope, the largest movable object on land, to scan thousands of stars for elusive, needle-in-a-haystack signals from alien technology.
