Welcome to A Few Quiet Yarns,
This is not your usual networking event, or community, because we change the game on how networking works.

Most people say 'networking' is awkward, even sleazy, and thats because no one created a 'way to do it' and what eventuated is referred to as awkward.

We call our version of networking 'connecting', and there are a few things we do differently from how we welcome you and inform you "You can start a conversation with anyone, they have all been welcomed the same way and are expecting others to connect"

How we Connect:
We make networking fun - we call it connecting, as it shouldn't be 'work'.
Connecting is relaxed, human, with a few rules that have worked for over 18 years:

1. No Selling.
   At all. We are here to connect and off the back of connecting and forming a relationship we will talk about Tech, business and work, but no pitches, no steak knives.

2. You can't ask what a person does until the 3rd question.
   Asking what a person does has become the normal go-to question because we don't know any differently and it became the status quo.
   The problem is we judge people immediately, before getting to know them. So we believe get to know the person first with 2 non-work related questions, such as "What did you get up to on the weekend?"
