A Journey to a Happier Tomorrow

Details
Our mission is to help survivors and their families find the support needed to break free from emotional trauma and heal from within. Whether it’s finding spiritual guidance, group support, or engaging in self-care activities, everyone has unique interests that contribute to healing. Emotional recovery from domestic violence and sexual assault takes time, and each person heals at their own pace. This support group is designed to help individuals heal on their own terms and at their own pace, so be patient with yourself.
In our support group, we will practice self-care ideas, discuss what worked for us and what didn’t, and provide emotional support to help us understand that we are not alone. The support group will also allow us to share our stories of emotional recovery to help minimize isolation, depression, anxiety, and loneliness.
Here are some of the benefits I hope attendees will get out of the group:
· Gaining support and hope from others facing similar experiences.
· Feeling less anxious, afraid, and/or alone.
· Sharing experiences to help others.
· Learning new skills for coping and enhancing your life.
· Becoming more self-confident.
· Feeling more in control.
· Developing new friends.
