Hi, I’m Ali, the person behind A Life Drawing. The “Ali” in the name is me, and the rest is both life drawing and a life spent drawing.
I run regular life drawing sessions—in my living room or at local pubs. After over a decade away from translating the three-dimensional human form onto a two-dimensional page, I picked up the pencil again, and it felt like coming home. So I took it home (!) and started sharing this space and that feeling, welcoming sessions where lines, light, and mood can roam free.
My living room sessions, tucked into the little artistic community of Peckham Rye, are a place where the lights are low, the vibe is high, and we embrace the raw, the beautiful, and everything in between. These gatherings run alongside larger sessions at local pubs—equally beautiful, only a bit busier.
