### About the Event
This gathering is part of Banned Books Week, a nationwide movement to spotlight the value of free and open access to information. Together, we’ll celebrate the joy of reading, honor stories that have been challenged or removed, and discuss ways to stand against censorship.
The event is hosted by Judging by the Cover: A Bookstore, Fresno’s only Latine-owned independent bookstore, who also serve as the official hosts of Fresno’s Silent Book Club chapter.
### What to Bring
- A banned or challenged book to read (or pick one from the library’s collection)
- Your curiosity and willingness to engage in thoughtful conversation
- Friends and family—all are welcome!
This is a free community event.
