Can you describe a place, a person, the surrounding exactly as it is, without comparing it to anything else?

For our very first gathering, we will sit together and write about our surroundings using plain description only: the colour of the leaves, the sound of footsteps, the smell of coffee. We do not need any metaphors, any fancy words, or any previous writing experience. We will share what we wrote and see how differently we all saw the same place. 🌿

For those who would like to go a little deeper, we can also reflect on how we are feeling today, and whether our mood shaped what we noticed. Sharing is always optional. πŸ’›
