Discover Bristol: Clifton Village

Details
Payment is in advance for this tour. Once you have booked your place on Meet Up, Steve will be in touch about paying the walk fee to secure your place.
Get your week off to a good start with two hours of guided walking in attractive surroundings with pleasant company. The focus is very much on getting to know your fellow walkers, fresh air and gentle exercise.
On these Discover Bristol sessions Steve shares his extensive research on the wildlife, history, geography and geology of the city. There is also plenty of time to chat about random stuff that comes up along the way.
This week we are exploring the historic extent of Clifton Village before and after it became a magnet for the merchants of Bristol. We will hear the story of the local periwig maker and the Father of Australian Architecture. We will explore the mews and backstreets in search of the life of the ordinary folk of Clifton.
We always enjoy a coffee in a local café at the end of our Monday morning Random Stuff in Bristol walks. There are several options for us to chose from in Clifton Village.
This is a great opportunity to start your week with a bit of leg stretching and some tongue wagging along the way. Exercise, socialising and learning are three out of the five steps to mental wellbeing.
A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with pleasant company in historic landscapes.
