SUNDAY WALK: Compton Dando and Pensford

Our Sunday events are traditional countryside walks that give us an opportunity to explore new areas and engage with the landscape and history of different and varied places.

We have visited Compton Dando on several occasions and walked in different directions along the River Chew. For this walk we will be linking the two villages of Compton Dando and Pensford.

Our six mile woodland walk will take us over local hills and valleys

We will pause for refreshments at the Rising Sun in Pensford.

A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with pleasant company in historic landscapes.

Exercise, socialising and learning are three out of the five steps to good mental health.

As is our custom a full set of written notes will be emailed out after the walk to help you hold on to what you have picked up from our wander through this wonderfully wooded landscape.

Compton Dando is just 25 minutes and 7 miles from central Bristol along the A37.
