Discover Bristol: Along the Dramway - Brandy Bottom to Warmley
Details
This is our third walk along the Dramway Path. Only one more to go after this one and we will reach the River Avon at Keynsham.
Get your week off to a good start with two hours of guided walking in attractive surroundings with pleasant company.
The focus is very much on getting to know your fellow walkers, fresh air and gentle exercise. Exercise, socialising and learning are three out of the five steps to mental wellbeing.
On these Discover Bristol sessions Steve shares his extensive research on the wildlife, history, geography and geology of the city. There is also plenty of time to chat about random stuff that comes up along the way.
Having walked the Dramway to Brandy Bottom Colliery, it's time to walk the next bit. All the way down to Warmley Station.
The Dramway was once a railway track that took coal from the coalfields of East Bristol down to the River Avon at Keynsham.
We finish our Discover Bristol tours with refreshments at a local café. This time its the Warmley Waiting Room Cafe
There are buses to our meeting point at Warmley from Bristol City Centre. Or use the chat forum below to arrange a lift with a fellow walker.
We will lift share to Brandy Bottom for the start of the walking.
This is a great opportunity to launch your week with a bit of leg stretching and some tongue wagging along the way.
A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with pleasant company in historic landscapes.
As is our custom a set of written notes will be emailed out to walkers after the walk. This will allow you to hold on to what you have picked up from our tour of the Dramway
