NEW SUNDAY WALK: Bitton Village, Swineford, North Stoke and Upton Cheney

Steve can usually arrange lifts from Bristol and Bath

In January and February 2026 we will be focussing our Sunday Countryside Walks on the landscape immediately beyond the urban hinterland of Bristol.

We go to Bitton to visit the railway station on the Bristol and Bath Leisure Path, but we have not explored the nearby village and surrounding countryside. Let's go do that!

Our walk will be about four miles (measured with OS online mapping tool). You will need walking boots. There are some modest hills. We will stop along the way for a picnic lunch and visit a local pub for refreshments.

As is our custom historical research notes will be sent out to participants after the event. These will allow you to hold onto what you have learned from our walking on the edge of Bristol.
