NEW (ish) Discover Bristol (Monday): Stapleton Road and Greenbank Cemetery
Details
Monday morning at 11:00
For today's tour Steve has found somewhere that we have not visited in Bristol before! And we will revisit a bit that we have.
Over the last three years we have put on eighty-six different Monday discovery tours across the whole of Bristol. We really know this city!
On these Discover Bristol sessions Steve shares his extensive research on the history, geography, wildlife and geology of the city. There is also plenty of time to chat about interesting finds that we discover along the way.
Stapleton Road is a new adventure for us. This is one of the most diverse parts of the City of Bristol and there is a great deal to draw our attention.
Greenbank Cemetery we have visited before. We will seek out war time graves and discover the paupers' burial site.
As is our custom a copy of Steve's extensive research notes will be sent out to participants after the event.
We take coffee at the end of our Discover Bristol walks. This time we will visit The Garden of Easton in St Marks Road.
This is a great opportunity for a bit of leg stretching and some tongue wagging along the way. Exercise, socialising and learning are three out of the five steps to mental wellbeing.
A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with pleasant company in historic landscapes.
