Here's a bit of FUN!

We have occasionally used the Severn Beach Railway Line from Bristol Temple Meads to Severn Beach to meet at places like Clifton Down or Stapleton Road.

Why not let's spend a whole day exploring the whole of the line and the history of the places it passes through?

We will catch the train from Temple Meads at 10:46 and travel all the way to Severn Beach.

You will need to buy your own return train ticket. Details to follow when you book on.

Having spent an hour or so exploring Severn Beach we will start making our way back. We will stop off at Shirehampton (where we will pause for refreshments at the Lamplighters) and Sea Mills for short walks exploring the local history.

How does that sound?

A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with like-minded company in historic landscapes.

A set of historical research notes will be emailed out to participants after the tour. This will allow you to hold on to what you have picked up from our exploration of the Severn Beach Line.
