Our traditional Sunday walk in the countryside

Compton Dando to Pensford along the River Chew

A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk in like-minded company through historic landscapes.

This is a five mile linear walk from Compton Dando to Pensford. We will lift share back.

As well as considering the local history of these two delightful villages we will here of the Great Flood of 1968 and the South Bristol coalmining industry.

Why not join us for a riverside walk with the opportunity for a wild swim (only if you wish)?

A set of historical research notes will be emailed out to walkers after our walk. This will allow you to hold on to what you have picked up from our walk along the Two Rivers Trail
