It's not that long ago that Stoke Bishop and Sneyd Park was a place of large country houses owned by the upper middling sort of Bristol. We will go in search of what remains of this time and seek out evidence of an earlier pastoral existence.
We enjoy a coffee in a local café at the end of our Monday morning Discover Bristol walks. This week we are at The Hideaway on Shirehampton Road.
This is a great opportunity to start your week with a bit of leg stretching and some tongue wagging along the way.
A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with pleasant company in historic landscapes.
