This month we're excited to welcome Sarah Bostwick from PXL Agency! Sarah is a full stack developer who builds Ember-based, experiential film industry promotions. Sarah specializes in transforming asset-heavy, mobile web apps into actual pleasant user experiences, and she enjoys experimenting with new technologies while leading a team of fellow creative developers.

Reuse, Recycle: One Team’s Journey from Projects to Products

As a website developer, at what point do you stop mining your past projects to quickly prototype and commit, and start maintaining a configurable product? A successful internal product is one that is actually used effectively, and publishing documentation is key to getting your whole team (from business to creative to new engineers) all on the same page. This presentation covers the implementation steps of documenting software products on GitHub, including versioning, tagging, wiki creation, and branching. Sarah will also highlight key supporting materials used when creating templates for web projects.
