A11y success stories to celebrate #gaad - Global Accessibility Awareness Day

Details
Please join a global community in celebrating the 5th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). We are getting a head start this year as we gather on May 18 at Shopify.
The theme this year is success stories. We're sometimes told the accessibility community is focused on the negatives, the stuff that doesn't work well or the things people don't do well. So, this year we want to lead by example and surface what works well. We'll have a round-the-room conversation focused on positive examples - whether it's an accessible product you launched, an organizational change you've made, a process improvement, etc. We are hungry for success stories we can take back to our teams & colleagues, for positive examples we can apply to our work.
To kick things off we've lined up a few success stories in the form of 5-minutes lightning talks. A few people from Shopify, City of Toronto, Ecentricarts, Teranet and more have stepped up already to share their experience with the group. Let's keep this list growing, you can either add your name / company in the comments below or simply speak up at the meetup, it's open mic night at #a11yTO :)
#GAAD has truly become a global event and it is celebrated across the world, from Argentina to Estonia to Japan to South Africa, and many more. Events & more info are announced on twitter at @gbla11yday (https://twitter.com/gbla11yday) and facebook at facebook.com/globalaccessibilityawarenessday (https://www.facebook.com/globalaccessibilityawarenessday), hashtag: #gaad. We're encouraging you to learn more about GAAD and share with your teams: globalaccessibilityawarenessday.org (http://www.globalaccessibilityawarenessday.org).
