This group is not active. Want to step up to be a volunteer organizer?
There is a need for a greater understanding of digital and media accessibility as well as inclusive design. This group is about regularly bringing together the accessibility community to share ideas, best practices, our experiences and hopefully to raise the bar when it comes to inclusion.
If you're interested in accessibility & inclusive design then we want you in this group. We will meet regularly starting in 2016 and hope to have short talks from people doing interesting work on the web, in arts and culture organizations and in the built environment.

We're on break for the summer!
At this point, pretty much everything for September is TBA: the date, the venue, and the speaker. The venue will be wheelchair accessible and there will be ASL interpretation.
Some ideas for speakers for the fall include:
• All Bodies Dance (http://allbodiesdance.ca/)
• Jacques Courteau and possibly other folks from the City of Vancouver's Persons with Disabilities Committee (http://vancouver.ca/your-government/persons-with-disabilities-advisory-committee.aspx) to talk about the new Jim Deva Plaza and accessible public space
• Queer ASL (http://www.queerasl.com/)
• accessible collections in public libraries
Let me know if you would like to present on something, or have a suggestions for speakers or workshops. I think it might be interesting to do small group audits of websites, apps, or physical spaces.
