Creating Tactile Graphics with Technology
Details
Our final talk before our summer break is here!
Tactile graphics allow blind readers to get in touch with interactive spatial concepts, yet the graphics are primarily made by sighted designers. The NYPL Dimensions lab and Astro Access project worked together to develop tactile symbols used to convey critical information for Zero-G flights, and developed ways to allow blind designers to create graphics through co-design and independent workflows.
