Not a week goes by when a digital accessibility-related lawsuit is filed against a company with an online presence and makes the news. The Winn-Dixie suit is just one example of recent legal activity.
Join us as U.S. disability rights lawyer Lainey Feingold will give an up-to-date report on what’s happening in the digital accessibility legal space, and what UX, developers, designers, quality assurance and other digital professionals need to know about what’s happening in the legal space, and a look at legal strategies helping to drive accessibility forward. She will also share success stories with the method of legal resolution that she pioneered twenty years ago, Structured Negotiation, a process that has been used as a way of resolving legal claims with collaboration and relationship building and advance accessibility. Lainey will share stories from her new book, Structured Negotiation, a Winning Alternative to Lawsuits (https://www.amazon.com/Structured-Negotiation-Winning-Alternative-Lawsuits/dp/1634255445).
Lainey is a lawyer and long-time advocate who has used her expertise and brought her passion to making the digital landscape more accessible.

Organizer note: Lainey presents at the annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference, which is held in San Diego, CA each year. Her one session has reached capacity every time (even in the largest ballrooms), even requiring the scheduling of a repeat session. She is a dynamic and engaging speaker (do not think dodgy lawyer). If you have any interest in how the law and government impacts digital accessibility, you will not want to miss this event. RSVP today!
