The Human-Computer interaction is usually a silent dialog between the users and the web interface. This interaction makes all the difference in the success of web services and online products. In this session, we will begin by examining methods for user needs analysis. Then, we will explore core elements & techniques for creating an accessible user interaction experience.

Speakers
Rabab Gomaa is a certified Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) with a background in user experience design and front-end development. She is an IT manager at the Government of Canada and an accessibility advocate. Rabab facilitates web accessibility workshops and speaks frequently at accessibility camps and conferences where she raises awareness on how to make web sites and web applications accessible.
Julius Nganji is a certified User Experience Researcher and Designer with a background in digital accessibility and usability. Julius currently works at improving the user experience of websites & web applications within the Government of Canada. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto and collaborates with other academic researchers internationally to promote inclusive research within a disability-inclusive development context. His research findings are often published in academic journals, conferences and as book chapters.
