A11yPHL - Philly Accessibility Meetup Pages

The Philadelphia Accessibility Forum is a group for developers, designers and users who are dedicated to the creation of technology that works well for everyone. Our focus is on the discussion of how individuals who are blind, deaf, hard of hearing, or have cognitive or physical disabilities use technology, and how we can create better designs that incorporate these users into a universal design. Accessibility is not just about adding a feature or setting to software or a device. It is thinking about how people use technology regardless of ability, age, skill or knowledge. It is taking the time to build technology in which accessibility is a fundamental concern.

There is a lot to think about when it comes to creating a design or interface that is a rewarding experience for all users. Even though many of the tools we can leverage have been around for some time, the conversation about accessibility is still relatively new. The Philadelphia Accessibility Forum was created to be a place where the creators and users of technology can come together to discuss our current best practices and innovate new ways to accommodate all users. Join our conversation as we create a better user experience for everyone.
