Engaging People with Disabilities in Usability Studies

Details
In tonight's presentation, Kara VanRoekel will be talking about designing and conducting usability studies with participants who have a variety of disabilities and rely, in varying degrees, on assistive technology. She will talk about special considerations necessary when working with disabled participants, what participant populations can be most effectively recruited based on the development stage of the product, best practices for in-person vs remote studies, how to maximize recruitment and develop a database of potential participants, and more.
(Note: This will be a remote talk, streamed over Zoom, but Think Company has graciously offered their awesome Center City space for us to use, and we hope that you can attend in person if possible!)
