Title: How to test PDF accessibility using PAC3, the free PDF Accessibility Checker
Naveesha Maharaj is a Senior Jedi Accessibility SME at Deque. She started her career in 2008 at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and holds multiple certifications in accessibility and UX. Naveesha has presented at the CSUN Assistive Technology, Accessing Higher Ground, and AccessU conferences.

Title: Inclusive Iconography
Since 2017, John Watson has trained 100+ organizations, educating designers, developers, and other stakeholders on inclusive design and accessibility. With an MA in Media, Culture, and Communications and certifications in accessibility, UX and design, John believes in a human-first approach to accessibility that considers the end user’s experience above all else.

Title: Video Game Accessibility
Steven Lambert is the primary developer on axe-core. He enjoys working on an open-source product that contributes to a more accessible web and loves chasing down performance improvements. In his free time, he develops accessible JavaScript games and participates in game jams.

Title: Adapting in an Able-Bodied World
Max Pete is a coach at Nubability Athletics, a non-profit that exists to encourage, inspire, instruct limb different youth by getting them out of the stands, off the bench and into mainstream sports. He also serves on the board of Design With Us, a non-profit that builds creative solutions that help bring extra joy to disabled young people.

7:10 pm — Lightning talks (each talk is 10-15 minutes)
8:15 pm — Socializing & networking using zoom breakout rooms, for anyone who wants to stay online and join in. (Optional)
