We'll start the lightning talks around 6:50pm. We'll live stream the event but we're new to streaming to please forgive any technical difficulties :)

Nathan Ortiz is an Associate DevOps Engineer at San Diego based digital marketing agency, Red Door Interactive. He has been professionally developing for one year. Although not an a11y expert, he is passionate about learning and applying it in every day work. As a member of the Transgender community, he hopes to bring a unique perspective to inclusivity in web development and design.

How Adults Learn to Use Assistive Technology: Navigating Disability and a New Skillset
Kasey Markoski has over 10 years of professional experience in the blindness field. She has held advisory positions on various boards, including the Accessibility Advisory Board appointed by Mayor Todd Gloria. Kasey is passionate about innovation and accessibility and works as a consultant to help organizations and teams create more opportunities and break down barriers for people with disabilities.
