The Power of Play: Real Stories of Healing and Adaptation

Mary Williams is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at UC San Diego Health with 45 years of experience helping individuals navigate challenges from physical trauma, brain injury, critical illness, chronic disease, and mental health challenges. Through treatment, education, and community programs, she empowers patients to regain independence, rediscover joy, and experience the power of play in their healing journey.

Gamification and Accessibility

Pooja Bala Nehru is a product designer who loves crafting beautiful user interfaces for every screen size and turning even the most mundane tasks into epic quests for users. Currently making an impact as a sole designer at a fast-paced tech start-up. When she's not designing, you’ll find her sharing design tips through writing, mentoring fellow creatives, or sipping wine and channeling her inner artist with a paintbrush.
