Considering and Preparing for the Certified Accessibility Professional Exam

Details

This will be a discussion about the certifications available from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals. We will talk about the certification types and what is involved in taking the exams. Anyone who has taken the exam is encouraged to share their experiences. This may be continued later as a separate study group from those planning to take the test.

Our meeting on IAAP Certification is this evening at Blink on the Seattle waterfront.

We have a special addition which is that Samantha Evans will be talking to our group virtually over a phone connection. Samantha is the certification manager at IAAP.

We won't have snacks or beverages available. You are welcome to bring your own. 100% of your $5 donations go to a fund to support accessibility services when requested for meeting. When we do have food, that comes from sponsors.

Please plan to arrive no later than 6:15. Lobby doors get locked and we won't be able to get down there once the meeting begins at 6:15.

Also, please don't arrive earlier than 5:45. We have a security door for the office and we won't be set up before that.

I am planning for a conclusion to the discussion at 7:15 and out the door by 7:30 to lock up. We may continue the certification prep in separate study groups at a later date.
