This picture was taken at Terwillegar Off Leash Park on September 15th of last year.
Our next organized walk will be on Saturday, August 2, @ 10:30 a.m. at Terwillegar Off Leash Park.
Why a walk? Because you know your dogs want it! It's all about the dogs getting exercise, right???? Of course the dogs owners would like a little exercise too!
Terwillegar park is a very nice large river park and has lots of open spaces for the dogs to run. The planned walk should take approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
To get to Terwillegar, take Rabbit Hill road West off of Terwillegar Drive. Follow Rabbit Hill road until it comes to a dead end (no exit sign). Go down the paved road to the parking lot. I'll be set up at the far end of the parking lot. The Google map never seems to be correct, so just go by my directions.
Make sure you give yourselves lots of time as parking is at a premium. We will be leaving at 10:30 a.m. sharp as the dogs get very restless waiting to go.
If you are coming, please remember to RSVP so that I will have your name badge with me.
To have your dogs on leash for our walks is perfectly fine, but can I ask you please not to have them on retractable leashes as they get tangled up around the other dogs and people.
p.s.: I know people love to bring treats for the dogs. For our Meetup walks though, can I ask you not to bring dog treats. If you want to bring treats for your own dog (for training purposes) that is certainly acceptable, but please don't feed the other dogs treats. Some of them are allergic to certain food groups. If you bring treats for your own dog, please give it to them away from the other dogs as some dogs (including one of mine) are treat aggressive. I would hate to have any fights break out over something like that. Thanks for your understanding. To have your dogs on leash for our walks is perfectly fine, but can I ask you please not to have them on retractable leashes as they get tangled up around the other dogs and people. Looking forward to walk the walk, talk the talk and bark the bark on Saturday, August 2 @ 10:30 a.m.
