DIY WORKSHOP: Learn to laser cut & create jewelry

Join us on Monday 17th of December and learn the basics on how to laser cut and engrave, save your files and set up the machine so you can start creating!

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
3hrs workshop 18:30-21:30

PART 1 (1hr)
_Short intro to Adobe Illustrator
_We will provide you a template in .Ai to work with
_How to save your file and prepare it for laser cutting

PART 2 (2hrs)
_Intro to Laser cuttting
_Learn how XinFab laser cutter works
_Cut and engrave: we will do both tasks so that you learn how to do it by yourself

This training is designed to teach you the basics of how to use the laser cutting machine so that you can come to work to XinFab and DIY. It is mainly focused on how to cut but we will briefly cover how engraving works.

This is a great beginning in using the machine for everyone who wants to become a new XinFabber!

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Pamela Martello is a Mexican jewelry designer and XinFab's manager. Jewelry is Pamela's true love, but she has a decade-long love affair with graphic design and Illustrator, with which she complements her jewelry creations. Last year, Pamela discovered Xinfab and immediately joined our core team as a volunteer. She loves working with the laser and the 3D printers and is always experimenting in other fields related to design, where she finds inspiration for her creations.
