Join us for a 4-day, 3-night trip to Nashville for some must-see sights and performances that are guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit. If you haven’t finished – or started – your Christmas shopping, there will be time for that too.

Itinerary:

Thursday

• Leave Atlanta 7:00 a.m.; arrive around 10:30 Nashville time (254.34 miles will take 4 hours, 9 minutes)

• Tour Belle Meade Plantation and have lunch at Harding House, Belle Meade’s on-site restaurant

• Check in at hotel between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.

• Unpack/Relax/Shop/Get ready for dinner cruise

• General Jackson Holiday Dinner Cruise & Show, 7 p.m. (must arrive by 6:15 p.m.)

Friday

• Tour the Ryman Auditorium, 9:30-noon

• Lunch at Two Twenty-Two Grill (inside CMHF&M), noon-1

• Tour the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, 1-3

• Lorri Morgan’s Enchanted Christmas Dinner and Show, 5p.m. to 7.p.m.

• ICE! Featuring Frosty the Snowman (open 10a.m.-9p.m.)

Saturday

• Tour the Hermitage, Home of President Andrew Jackson, 9-noon

• Lunch at one of the Gaylord Opryland Resort’s restaurants (Cascades American Café or Solario)

• Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring the Rockettes, 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

• Tour the Parthenon

• 8:00 p.m. Dinner/Dancing/Entertainment at Wildhorse Saloon

Sunday

• Music Row, 16th/17th Ave. South – Division Street and Music Square

• Check out by noon and head back to Atlanta

A visit to Belle Meade Plantation includes a tour led by a trained and costumed guide through the plantation’s beautiful Greek-Revival mansion commissioned by John Harding in 1845. A ticket also includes access to Belle Meade’s many other historic buildings on the plantation grounds including a dairy, horse stable, carriage house, mausoleum, gardens, and a log cabin. After you’ve completed your tour of the house and grounds, a free wine tasting awaits at the winery.

Originally built as a church in 1892 with funding from riverboat captain Thomas Ryman, the Ryman Auditorium later became a theater, hosting such performers as Sarah Bernhardt, Charlie Chaplin, Mae West, and Katharine Hepburn. From 1943-74, the auditorium was home to the Grand Ole Opry. Pioneering performers such as Hank Williams, Bill Monroe, and Patsy Cline helped shape country and bluegrass music from the Ryman stage.

Rhinestone costumes, seasoned instruments, and tear-stained lyric sheets are just some of the priceless artifacts you will see inside the world's largest music museum. In 2011, Reba McEntire, Bobby Braddock, and Jean Shepard were inducted into the Hall of Fame. Today's hit makers like Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and Faith Hill, as well as contemporary bluegrass and Americana artists, will be represented alongside legends such as Johnny Cash, George Strait, and Reba McEntire.

Museum admission includes the hitmaker's workshop, a re-creation of record producer Owen Bradley's office, DREAMING MY DREAMS, an exhibit showcasing the 1960s to present, SING ME BACK HOME: A Journey Begins, which showcases the Folk Roots to the 1960s, as well as other country music exhibits.

Your museum ticket is valid for the entire day, and you will tour the museum at your own pace. We recommend you set aside approximately two hours to visit the museum completely.

Tickets purchased online will not be mailed in advance. They will be held at the Museum's Information Desk, located inside the main entrance. Please present your confirmation letter, along with your ID, to the Information Desk associate upon your arrival.

ICE! is 9 degrees... What should I wear?

All guests are provided calf-length, hooded parkas to keep them warm. Parkas are available in all sizes, including children and infants. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. All pathways through the ICE! attraction are carpeted, and boots are not required. We do recommend wearing comfortable, walking shoes. Bare feet, stocking feet, sandals, slick soled shoes, high heeled shoes, and all other footwear that is inappropriate for cold slippery surfaces should not be worn on the ice slides. Hats and gloves are recommended--and are available for purchase. Think Christmas morning in Alaska... and dress accordingly!

The Parthenon is a full-scale replica of the original in Athens, Greece, and was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition and now serves as the city’s art museum.

The Wildhorse Saloon began with a stampede through the streets of Music City when a herd of cattle paraded down Second Avenue and past the front doors of the newly opened club.
